Glen Country House
Provides Bed & Breakfast accommodation
near Kinsale which is situated in one of the most
scenic locations in West Cork, overlooking Courtmacsherry Bay with
views of The Atlantic Ocean. The house was built in 1860 on a much older site,
hence the impressive avenue that approaches the house and old stone
out buildings that surround the yard.
The house
and garden are surrounded by mature hardwood trees in a parkland setting
which sweeps down to the sea and is all part of a 300 acre working farm.
The Scott family have farmed the land for over 350 years, and the
present owners (Guy and Diana) recently renovated the house to a
luxurious standard.

Glen
Country House is ideally situated to enable guests to explore West Cork.
We are 35 minutes from Cork Airport and the Ferry Terminal at
Ringaskiddy, and less than an hour's
drive from the City of Cork. Such localities as Glandore, Baltimore,
Bantry, Glengarriff make an ideal day excursion. For those who enjoy
really good food the area offers many excellent restaurants to suit all
tastes and pockets (see our restaurants page). The gourmet centre of
Ireland, Kinsale is just a 30 minute drive.
The area
offers the opportunity to engage in many activities all within a short
distance of The Glen Country House. One never has to go far in Ireland
without finding scenic walks, golf courses, rivers, mountains, and of
course on our doorstep - the sea. You can find more details covering

EVENING DINNER AT
GLEN
COUNTRY HOUSE
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. A
3 course dinner with tea or coffee afterwards is 30 euros, this is a set
menu and anyone with a special dietary requirement needs to let us know
at time of booking. We need 12 hrs notice from anyone who would like
dinner so if possible please let us know if you want dinner the night
you arrive when you are booking.
